“What inspired you to make soap, Christine?”

It usually takes more than one thing to make me change my mind on something. Cumulatively, literature has, over time, been an ongoing source of the science and progress of dermatology and skin health. But, my interest is more than ‘skin deep’:

My Dad died of cancer, that had begun on his skin, before it metastasized to other areas of his body. The doctors wanted us to know, so that we could be aware, for ourselves. Now, I can’t speak to what was on his skin or what he exposed himself to, but, such a meaningless death of such a great man afforded an awareness of one’s environment and the choice  I have to say no or yes to something as a consumer.

I choose to say “yes”, to Unscented  Saint Agnes Soap because I know it was tested for safety, that it contains no preservative, nor colorant or scent, that it is handmade in a legally-approved environment, and it has not been handled by a litany of people before arriving at my sink.

Saint Agnes Soap is the equivalent of an expression. A desire for something better. To change my personal environment, one bar at a time.

Love from,
Saint Agnes Soaps
